THE SPIRITUAL HEART OF MAYAPUR
ABOUT THIS SITE
The Temple of the Vedic Planetarium (TOVP) stands as one of the most magnificent spiritual projects ever undertaken. Located in the holy land of Sri Mayapur, it is dedicated to Sri Sri Radha Madhava and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, fulfilling the grand vision of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada.
Designed to merge Vedic philosophy with extraordinary architecture, the TOVP will house a planetarium depicting the Vedic cosmological universe as described in the Srimad Bhagavatam. Its towering dome, inspired by the US Capitol and St. Peter's Basilica, rises above the flat plains of Bengal as a beacon of spiritual civilization.
Every element of the temple's design carries profound symbolic meaning. The seven floors represent the seven planetary systems. The main dome symbolizes the material universe, while the inner sanctum points the consciousness toward the spiritual world beyond.
