ABOUT THIS SITE
Murari Gupta was one of the most beloved associates of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu — a physician by profession and an utterly dedicated devotee of Lord Rama by nature. Despite Lord Chaitanya's playful attempts to convert him to the worship of Lord Krishna, Murari Gupta remained steadfastly devoted to Lord Rama.
Lord Chaitanya ultimately praised Murari Gupta's unwavering devotion as the supreme example of fidelity to one's chosen form of the Lord. The relationship between them is a beautiful demonstration of the Lord's respect for sincere devotion in any of its pure forms.
The temple here preserves the memory of Murari Gupta and his divine association with Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the streets and homes of Navadvipa.
