SACRED COW PROTECTION

ISKCON Mayapur Goshala

ABOUT THIS SITE

The ISKCON Mayapur Goshala is one of the largest and most beautifully maintained cow protection facilities in India. Home to hundreds of sacred cows and bulls, the Goshala embodies the Vedic principle that cow protection is central to a spiritually healthy civilization.

Srila Prabhupada stressed that cow protection is not merely sentimental — it is the foundation of a sustainable, God-conscious society. The gentle, loving nature of these animals and the peace that permeates the Goshala make it one of the most unique and uplifting experiences in the dhama.

Visitors can feed and interact with the cows, learn about Vedic cow protection principles, and witness the production of pure milk products used in deity worship throughout the Mayapur campus.
